This Diwali, we're lighting the lanterns and drawing the rangoli, and we saved your family a spot.
Rangoli are colorful designs traditionally created at the entrance of homes to welcome guests and invite good fortune. 🪔 On November 6, we'll make ours together as part of a full night of henna, a game of Housie with prizes, a dance lesson, and sparklers.
Longtime Asian Girls Ignite family Jessica (student) and Janice (family) will start us off by sharing how they celebrate Diwali and what it means to them. Lights and lanterns are an important part of Diwali, symbolizing the light that guides us through the dark toward hope and new beginnings. ✨ Throughout the night, we'll explore how art, light, and cultural traditions can bring people together and create a sense of belonging.
Feel free to dress up in Indian Clothes, or whatever's comfortable. Just come ready to party. 💃🏻
