Somewhere in our community, someone will open a box of food from Kaizen Food Rescue. We're making sure there's a note from our students inside. 💌
Thai Nguyen of Kaizen Food Rescue joins Asian Girls Ignite, for brunch and a conversation about who our community includes: friends, family, neighbors, strangers. Students will think about how their care changes depending on how well they know someone, and what they can do about that gap. Thai will talk about what community care looks like in practice, including for people we may never meet.
Then students will make something for the people receiving Kaizen's food boxes and bags: handwritten notes, origami cranes, drawings, even a recipe for a dish that's special to their family. Everything they make goes into a Kaizen package, so whoever opens it gets something that came directly from a student. 💞
