What is Asian Girls Ignite’s Outdoors Program?

Our outdoors program brings our middle school and high school students together to develop technical, interpersonal, problem-solving, and resilience-building skills. Our goal is to increase access to the outdoors for AANHPI youth and provide them with the confidence to continue exploring.

Our Outdoors program is open to all girls or gender-expansive youth who:

✅ are in grades 6-12
✅ identify as Asian American, Native Hawaiian and/or Pacific Islander (AANHPI)
✅ live in Colorado

The AGI Family Campout was a joyful gathering of Colorado AANHPI families, filled with paddle boarding, campfire s’mores, cultural games, and lasting connections. In partnership with CACEN and Outdoor Asian Colorado, we created a space to slow down, enjoy nature, and strengthen our community.

Asian Girls Ignite (AGI) students and Convivir Colorado came together for a magical day of ice skating, community building, and creativity at Evergreen Lake. From gliding across the ice to warming up with hot drinks and crafting, this event celebrated friendship, cultural connection, and the power of shared experiences for Asian American and BIPOC youth in Colorado.
