Climbing is everywhere in Colorado. Community helps us experience it together.
Whether climbing is already part of your life or something you’ve been meaning to try, Community Climb offers a way to experience it in community, grounded in shared stories and support.
Join Asian Girls Ignite and Movement Baker’s Annie Hanichak for our March Community climb that brings movement and storytelling into the same space!
What to expect
The opportunity to boulder and top rope in a guided, supportive environment
Bouldering🧗♀️: Shorter walls climbed without ropes, with soft mats underneath for safety. It feels like solving a puzzle with your body.
Top Rope Climbing🪢: Taller walls where you wear a harness and are supported by a rope as you climb. It builds trust and confidence step by step.
Storytelling session by Annie Hanichak that explores how movement, identity, and lived experience show up on the wall.
Shared experience between youth, caregivers, AGI Lotus Collective members, and community
🌱Confidence grows when people move through something together and stories are shared out loud.
🧗♀️Climbing becomes a way to build trust, notice our bodies, and support one another across ages.
Meet the storyteller
Annie started her climbing career at Ascend in Pittsburgh, PA and steadily migrated outdoors. Since her first encounter, she has been stoked on climbing ever since! While it is not the first sport in her history of movement, she also has a strong background in ballet and Wushu (Chinese martial arts) which help to influence both her setting and climbing styles.
One of her climbing fueled passions is promoting diversity and empowering those in the climbing community.
