Belonging is already here
And because of you, it's here to stay. This AANHPI Heritage Month, our This Is Belonging community came together and raised $24,230 — surpassing our $15,000 goal — to sustain the spaces where AANHPI girls and gender-expansive youth are seen and celebrated. The work continues year-round, and there's always room for one more at the table.
Belonging is a vibrant, living reality

Belonging is a vibrant, living reality 〰️
While the world doesn’t always provide the spaces our youth deserve, Asian Girls Ignite is the home where they show up fully as themselves.
Our This is Belonging campaign is a celebration of the moments happening right now:
Moments where a student speaks up for the first time.
Moments where they feel a vibrant pride in who they are.
Moments where they realize they have a powerful community behind them.
This is an invitation to make more of these moments possible. Through our year-round programming, Asian Girls Ignite ensures this connection lives and breathes in Colorado.
When belonging is the starting point, it stays with you for a lifetime

$50
### $50 — Supplies for a student storytelling or leadership workshop
"The activities were really inclusive and helped me learn about different cultures and people while also having fun. Like making the Filipino dessert and the cookie decorating."
— Alina L. (she/her), 8th Grade StudentWith your $50 gift, you’re providing the ingredients for connection.

-
$150
### $150 — Supports intentional design and preparation required for storytellers
“A storyteller that I met through AGI, her name is Akemi. She actually does art, she's an artist. And that made me more curious about my own identity as an artist. Now I'm thinking of actually starting to share and sell my art, which I am too nervous to do currently, but yeah, I'm trying. She helped me realize that."
— Azalea C-C. (she/they), 8th Grade StudentWith your $150 gift, you’re bringing AANHPI role models into our workshops.

-
$250
### $250 — Covers a student participation in an AGI program
"As a half Asian girl, I felt like I wasn't Asian enough or wasn't white enough. But after joining AGI, I found that my peers had a lot of similar experiences to me, no matter what background they have. And I just feel like they have shown me that there wasn't such a thing as being Asian enough or not Asian enough. And this has really helped me embrace my identity."
— Jane E. (she/her), 11th Grade StudentYour $250 gift ensures our spaces remain open and ready to replace feelings of judgment with a sense of belonging.

-
$500
### $500 — Sponsors a mentorship match
“I feel like she is my long lost older sister that I have been dreaming of for years. Jihee did the most amazing job finding my mentor for me and I am so thankful to her. Being a mentee in this program is probably one of my better decisions in life so far”
— Lillian K. (she/her), 11th Grade Student‼️Your $500 removes the financial barrier between a mentee and mentor, fueling a connection that provides a roadmap for their future. Right now, students are waiting for this essential mentorship. Your gift ensures that cost never stands in the way of a student being matched with a mentor who truly sees them.

-
$1,000
### $1,000 — Sponsors a student’s full participation in our summer program
“AGI helps me find my voice as an Asian person and I wanted to have that translated through my classmates because I wanted them to feel like they belong and I wanted to have leadership opportunities for other Asian-Americans at my school and I wanted them to feel that empowerment that I felt during the summer program.”
— Sunny W. (she/her), 7th Grade Student‼️Your $1,000 gift removes the financial barrier between a student and their spark. Right now, we have students and families who want to participate in our Summer Program but need the financial support to do so. Your donation ensures every student can show up fully—at low or no cost.

Expand the power of belonging
This is your invitation to help shape a world where AANHPI girls and gender-expansive youth don't have to search for belonging, because they know it's already there, held by a community that sees their power.
Every gift sustains the laughter at events, the confidence found in mentorship, and the self-trust that flourishes when a young person is truly seen. There's always room for more at the table.
"AGI was the first time since moving to Denver that I had seen a large gathering of the AANHPI community. My family and I had thought the community was nonexistent compared to California, but that event proved us wrong. I don’t think it was a single person who made me feel like I belonged, but the whole event, which made me feel seen and welcome."
