Perfection is exhausting. The pressure to look, act, or perform a certain way can feel constant. Dance offers a release. It invites you to focus on movement, connection, and joy instead of flawless outcomes. 🌟

At this workshop, students will spend the afternoon with Judy Tran, an experienced choreographer who has created a hip hop/K-pop routine designed just for Asian Girls Ignite high school students. Together, they will warm up, learn choreography, and practice in small groups, all while exploring how letting go of perfection can open space for authenticity. 🎢

No dance experience needed! This is not about how polished you are. It is about showing up. Students of all levels are welcome, especially those stepping into dance for the very first time. πŸ™Œ

What To Expect

  • Talk about the pressures of perfection and how they show up in daily life

  • Warm up, learn, and practice a choreographed hip hop/K-pop routine

  • Feel vulnerable while trying something new, and empowered moving with confidence
