To My Younger Self is our way of giving today’s AANHPI girls and gender-expansive youth the care and encouragement we all needed when we were growing up.

Think back to who you were in middle or high school… still figuring out where you fit and what made you proud to be who you are.
Maybe you wished for role models who looked like you.
Maybe you longed for a sense of belonging or the courage to speak up.
Creating the Spaces We Once Searched For
We can’t go back and rewrite our own stories, but we can make sure today’s AANHPI girls and gender-expansive youth have what we all needed most: representation, connection, and community.
That’s what Asian Girls Ignite provides every day, spaces where youth are seen, supported, and reminded that their stories matter.
The Impact of Feeling Seen and Supported
Through storytelling, mentorship, and leadership programs, AGI helps youth step into their power with courage and confidence.
This year, our students have:
Started AANHPI affinity groups in their schools
Built lifelong bonds with mentors who reflect their identities
Found joy and pride in being exactly who they are

Help Us Reach Our Goal
We’re raising $20,000 by December 31 to sustain AGI programs that nurture confidence, belonging, and leadership for AANHPI girls and gender-expansive youth across Colorado.
Thanks to the Lotus Collective Fund, we have already reached $7,715, giving this campaign a powerful start. Their support helps us continue creating spaces where youth feel seen, supported, and proud of who they are.

A message from our founders
Founded in 2020, Asian Girls Ignite is a Colorado nonprofit that creates spaces for AANHPI girls and gender-expansive youth to be their full selves. We believe our students already have the power to lead their own futures — we simple provide them with the support to do so with confidence.
Our programs help students connect with their cultures, build their identities, and form strong friendships through storytelling, mentorship, and leadership. We want to change the way people see AANHPI youth, showing that they are the leaders and creators of tomorrow. When students feel seen, heard, and valued, they thrive — and make sure future generations know they belong.
